The Department of Mechanical Engineering came into being in the year 1963 and the first batch of Mechanical Engineers graduated in the year 1966. At present it offers Diploma of Mechanical  Engineering .We currently have  112 full-time  students and passed out more than 50 every year. The Department has  5 faculty members offering courses in major areas of Mechanical Engineering .The department has laboratory and workshop facilities with modern sophisticated equipments to carry out research in all areas related to Mechanical . The faculty actively participates in sponsored research and consultancy work, conducts seminars/conferences and short term courses.
